Indivisible is a progressive grassroots movement of millions of activists across every state, fueled by a partnership between thousands of autonomous local chapters and a national staff. Indivisible’s national team offers strategic leadership and support to Indivisible groups and directly lobbies Congress, builds partnerships, runs media campaigns, and develops advocacy strategies. As a member group, we work closely with Indivisible at the national, regional and local level.
The Alliance for Gun Violence Solutions
This alliance was conceived by members of the Santa Fe chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) and held its first meeting in June 2023. Consisting of members of a dozen community groups, including Indivisible SOS Santa Fe, the coalition’s mission is to identify and implement policies that reduce gun violence. This effort is a project of The League of Women Voters of New Mexico, funded by the Thornburg Foundation and supported by 30 organizations including Indivisible SOS Santa Fe, to ensure fair, transparent and trusted redistricting following the 2020 census.
Free Flow NM seeks to end period-poverty in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico. The organization believes menstrual products should be as easy to access as toilet paper and that no individual should miss work or school because they cannot afford to buy them. Free Flow NM strives to serve any population who cannot afford period products. Members of Indivisible SOS are volunteering to manage the Free Flow Period Pods™ at Santa Fe’s Southside and La Farge Libraries where the public can find free tampons, pads and other period products. See story in the Santa Fe New Mexican.
Girls Inc. of Santa Fe
Since 1955, Girls Inc. of Santa Fe has inspired girls to be Strong, Smart and Bold through experiences and programs that provide real solutions to the unique issues girls face. The women of Indivisible SOS support Girls Inc.’s mission and its advocacy priorities.
New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence
NMPGV focuses on preventing gun violence to protect the safety of children, families, and communities. The organization promotes common-sense gun laws and educates on gun safety and the high emotional and financial costs of gun-related violence. We write letters and make calls to support their work during New Mexico’s legislative sessions.
Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains
Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (Colorado, New Mexico, Southern Nevada and Wyoming) delivers high-quality reproductive and sexual health care and works to ensure the right to safe, legal abortion. We have partnered with Planned Parenthood to successfully pass legislation that decriminalizes abortion in New Mexico. This effort is a project of The League of Women Voters of New Mexico, funded by the Thornburg Foundation and supported by 30 organizations including Indivisible SOS Santa Fe, to ensure fair, transparent and trusted redistricting following the 2020 census.
This coalition of grassroots organizations throughout the state is working to create a future where communities can generate affordable, renewable electricity that creates jobs and invests in local economies. It is part of a national movement to empower communities to choose their own power and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. Indivisible SOS is a member of Public Power New Mexico’s steering committee.
Santa Fe County Democratic Party
The Santa Fe County Democratic Party’s primary purpose is to elect and retain Democrats at all levels of government by registering voters and mobilizing a fully informed electorate. The party believes that all citizens should have an equal voice in how they are governed and calls out the disproportionate influence of rich and powerful special interests.
Somos works to build communities that do not discriminate based on national origin and institute humane migration policies that protect human rights for everyone, regardless of birthplace or documentation. In the past year we have partnered on the abolition of private prisons and guaranteed leave for all New Mexico workers.
