Gun Safety

In an average year, 389 people die by guns in New Mexico. With a rate of 18.3 deaths per 100,000 people, our state has the eighth highest rate of gun deaths and the least restrictive firearms laws in the country.

To address the epidemic of gun violence, we partner with:

 • The Alliance for Gun Violence Solutions, a coalition of more than 10 local groups, including Indivisible SOS Santa Fe, with a mission to identify and implement policies to reduce gun violence.

New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence, which uses public health, education, advocacy and public awareness to reduce firearm injury and ensure public safety.
