Joan Cordingley
I am originally from the U.K. In 1981, my husband’s
company transferred him to the U.S. and we eventually became U.S. citizens in July 2001. After raising our three children in Houston, we moved to the Land of Enchantment in 2009. Before crossing the Atlantic, I briefly worked in theater, but I found a
career in education equally satisfying and it was more compatible with raising a family. While in Houston, I earned a masters degree in Early Childhood education and for over twenty years, I taught pre schoolers, kindergartners and first graders. Before retiring, I was a supervisor at a large Head Start center in Santa Fe. I enjoy taking art courses at Santa Fe Community College and volunteering at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter.
As a member of Indivisible SOS, I am learning all the time from remarkable women who are dedicated to making a difference in peoples’ lives through their activism.
