I grew up in Kansas. My family often vacationed in Colorado where I found my love of the mountains.
After graduation from the University of Kansas, Ed and I were married and moved to Boston where Ed was in graduate school at MIT and I was a buyer for
a specialty department store. After Ed’s graduation we moved to Minneapolis where our first daughter was born. Four years later we moved to Kankakee, Illinois where we lived for thirteen years. Our other two children were born there. As a stay-at-home mom I was involved with school activities, sports, theater and dancing. I also served on the Symphony Guild Board, volunteered with the historical society, Junior League and helped found the Young Peoples Theater.
We then spent 22 years in Rhode Island where I again volunteered for schools and cultural and civic organizations, serving on the boards of Festival Ballet and Habitat for Humanity. At 55, I found the perfect job as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines which led to many valued friendships and great travel adventures!
After visiting Santa Fe with my mother and sister in the 90’s, I knew I had to move here, which we did in 2008. I soon became involved with the Wheelwright Museum, serving first on the Friends board and then on the board of directors. I chaired the museum’s annual auction for six
years, which gave me a great opportunity to learn more about Native American culture and to meet many wonderful Native American artists.
I enjoy working with glass, my book clubs, exercising, hiking in our beautiful mountains and cooking with our gourmet group. I love traveling and exploring new places, but my greatest joy is spending time with our wonderful children and grandchildren!
