Elizabeth Fryer

Elizabeth Fryer MA, MFT, has been a psychotherapist and teacher of traditional and contemporary Mindfulness for over 35 years. She lived in Asia, primarily Japan, for 10 years (1973-1983) where she practiced both Theravada and Zen Buddhism. After returning to the U.S.A., she became a pioneer in the field of integrating contemporary psychotherapy with the principles of the dharma (aka mindfulness) which included founding the St Louis Insight Meditation Center (1995), teaching Mindfulness at Monsanto (1999), as well as leading meditation retreats and training mental health professionals. Elizabeth is currently almost retired and lives with her husband in Santa Fe. She has a beautiful adult daughter that lives in NYC.
