Bernadette Vadurro

I am a native Santa Fean with a business degree. For thirty years I operated my own training company and have worked with clients, such as American Express, the Chrysler Corporation, the CIA, Departments of Energy, Interior, and many more. I presented programs in every state in the USA (except Iowa) and to clients internationally and have won numerous awards such as The Small Business Award by LANL, recipient of the Ana Maria Arias Award, and honored as one of the top ten Hispanic Women Entrepreneurs by Latina Style Magazine in 2007. I’ve written and co-authored several business books including, Speaking to Win. My passion has always been politics, though. In 2008, I authored the award-winning book, America’s Conscience: Facing Threats to Democracy, the Middleclass and Our World. Since the age of nine, I’ve worked on Democratic campaigns, first tasked with calling voters to remind them of upcoming elections. I have volunteered, raised money, sent letters and postcards, registered voters, coached candidates, and made television and YouTube commercials for candidates. While always finding time for community service, all my time in recent years has been devoted to the Democratic Party, as the past State Chair of the Affirmative Action Committee, the Past President of the SFC Federation of Democratic Women, and holding an elected seat on the Board of the National Federation of Democratic Women. Today, I serve as the Chair of the Democratic Party of Santa Fe County. I’m the mother of two fabulous daughters, Christy Michelle, and Katie Elizabeth, and the grandmother of Summer Brown. I’m incredibly blessed to be married to the love of my life, architect, Robert Vadurro. I live in a 120 old adobe on the east-side of Santa Fe with my hubby and fat cat, Daisy.
