Our Achievements

Since 2017, we have not only endured but grown stronger, adapting to new challenges while staying true to our mission. We’ve shaped legislation, built meaningful relationships with community and political leaders, partnered with local organizations, and fueled progressive change.

In 2023, we were instrumental in drafting a bill to modernize law enforcement training and accountability. This bill passed in the New Mexico legislature, marking a significant step forward in public safety. We have established working partnerships with law enforcement leaders, contributed both money and action to progressive campaigns, and played a decisive role in electing U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez, re-electing U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez, and helping Democrats hold the Senate in 2022.

We also worked with multiple community partners to pass legislation that prohibits public bodies from restricting or interfering with access to reproductive and gender affirming care. We also worked to pass legislation that protects healthcare providers and patients from sharing patient information with other states and shielding providers from out of state actions. This legislation has ensured that New Mexico remains a sanctuary state for these services.

Through thousands of letters, postcards, texts, and emails, we have shown the power of persistence, proving that women’s collective action can influence elections, shape policy, and drive lasting change.

Over the years we have met with hundreds of speakers who inspire direct action and help us become more informed. Since 2016, we have built relationships with our governor, U.S. senators, Congressional representatives, state legislators and a wide range of leaders in areas such as environment, health and criminal justice.
